What is Swalhaggin?
Swalhaggin is a weird word. It really won’t make sense until you get your dyslexic on and flip it backwards That’s right, read it from right to left and you get “Nggah laws,” a name true to the album.With his newest CD, Money Waters is once again taking truth to the streets, lyrically preaching about the de facto way of life for African American young men growing up in hard knock hoods across the South. After all, as an musician, Waters simply raps what he knows, repping the Dallas southern rap scene to the fullest. Over the course of 23 tracks, he clearly makes his position felt on the place of black men in society, providing lyrics that are at times political but always sure to entertain. Money Waters, isn’t as much of a rapper as a story teller, though he can certainly play words and combine beats with the best of ‘em, chronicling everyday stories throughout the ghetto, and real problems that affect real people hidden by the mainstream media and shunned by society.
